Next Volunteer Training Session To Be Announced
Interfaith Hospitality Network of Ocean County

IHN is a non-profit, interfaith ministry committed to providing shelter, meals, and assistance to homeless families. It is an affiliate of Family Promise (http://www.familypromise.org/), a national organization with 162 affiliate programs and more than 130,000 volunteers, helping people in need.

Among the services that IHN of Ocean County (http://ihnoc.net/) provides are overnight accommodations, a place for dinner and breakfast, as well as a Mentoring Program. During the day, guests work with IHN staff to set priorities and take the necessary steps to gain self-sufficiency.

IHN's trained volunteers welcome homeless families to their churches and synagoges and offer a caring environment. Volunteers prepare food, play with children and help with homework, teach life skills such as parenting, home management, budgeting, and nutrition, and welcoming guest families at IHN host sites in the evenings or overnight.

All Saints Church, in partnership with St. Mary's-by-the-Sea (Point Pleasant Beach) has been participating in hosting IHN families for the past few years. If you would like to know more or attend the upcoming volunteer training session, please contact Sherry Urner or Kathy McLeer.
